Going green over lunch
March 23, 2010
The environment is never far from the top of the agenda and phrases like 'carbon footprint', 'sustainability', and 'eco efficiency' are regularly banded around. But are they the right ones to use? Do they give the correct message? Are they understood?
Keen to ensure the right environmental messages were being delivered on behalf of clients, Media Matters engaged the help of green experts from Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT).
Nyree Ambarchian, the Trust's marketing and communications officer, led a 'Lunch and Learn' session to help Media Matters staff unravel 'eco speak' and ensure it is used in context to deliver the right message.
"It's important we help our clients communicate their green message in the right way," said accounts director Dawn Strange. "The session helped us understand which messages have the greatest resonance and how to deliver them effectively."
