Business neighbours from Lynch Wood in the city teamed up to find out how going greener can be kinder to the environment – and their pocket – as well as boost company credentials.
Around 20 businesses supported the latest Lynch Wood Forum at the Marriott Hotel, which combined networking with information gathering.
Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) business and environment officer Kim Coley gave the forum an insight into the charity’s work, as well as highlighting the Investors in the Environment accreditation – an initiative established exclusively for Peterborough businesses.
Karen Dykes, business partner at Anne Corder Recruitment, also shared the company’s know-how when it comes to saving energy and running a more efficient business through becoming an award-winning ‘paperless office’.
The regular forums are co-ordinated by Lynch Wood-based PR and marketing agency Media Matters.
Cetti Long, account executive at Media Matters said: “The informal networking forums have been extremely well-supported since they were launched a couple of years ago, initially as a platform for business people on the Lynch Wood and Minerva business parks to meet each other and learn a little about neighbouring companies.
“The latest forum gave everyone much food for thought, and it was great to see some of the newer businesses arriving in Peterborough coming along for the networking and information-gathering experience.”
