SEO Manager

SEO planning, strategy and delivery

  • Lead the SEO discussion for new campaigns and integrated strategies with wider agency teams  
  • Create and carry out SEO project plans  
  • Work with the client to understand, set and deliver against agreed KPIs 
  • Carry out keyword research and analysis to support SEO strategies  
  • Technical auditing of websites and working with development team to implement recommendations 
  • Conduct website performance audits 
  • Provide ongoing regular SEO analysis and insight with recommendations 
  • With the support from the wider agency team, plan and execute on and off-site SEO strategies 
  • Conduct on-site and off-site SEO competitor analysis 
  • Liaise withco-ordinate and guide cross departmental teams as necessary to deliver successful campaigns 

SEO consultancy and training

  • Advise and liaise with clients as necessary on SEO related matters 
  • Be the go to person for up-skilling and training the external client teams and internal teams on SEO 

Website development management

  • Work with clients to understand requirements and prepare website development briefs 
  • Work with our web development team during the planning and development process to deliver websites which are fully optimised at launch 
  • Look after client website troubleshooting which may involve using your coding knowledge and/or instructing our development team 

Reporting and evaluation

  • Prepare monthly performance reports in a KPI driven approach using a range of software, including Google Analytics 
  • Ensure that changes in performance are deeply understood, fully explained and addressed and/or linked back to campaign activity. 

Essential experience

  • In depth knowledge of search engines, optimisation techniques and influential factors of key search engines 
  • At least 1-2 years experience in a similar SEO focussed role 
  • Excellent technical SEO knowledge and experience of implementing technical SEO 
  • Using and implementing Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to an intermediate/advanced level 
  • Good knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript 
  • Confident using a suite of SEO tools including Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush etc. 
  • High levels of proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Agency background
