The design and build process at Media Matters is collaborative, which means we work together to get it right. For that reason the design element of this procedure is quite in depth to make sure that you are happy with the branding, key features and layouts before we think about building the site.
We adopt industry best practice, and before we quote for building a website we will ask you lots of questions to ensure that we understand the specification that the website has to meet. This is an initial consultation and we do not charge for this time.
Once we have agreed the go ahead and timelines, the first stage is design. We can provide all of some of these services at this stage:

All of our websites are built as responsive as standard (friendly to all devices from mobile and tablet through to desktop) as this is now an important factor for search indexing. If your website is not mobile friendly you will not rank as high in mobile search as a website that is responsive.
As a general rule our platform of choice is WordPress for standard HTML websites and Magento for e-commerce website development. We will build in other platforms depending on the nature of the specification and provide a completely bespoke build if relevant.
We will also integrate with existing databases, APIs and CRM systems and develop browser-based applications to fulfill a specific need.
Website support and monitoring
Once your website is deployed, it’s important that the code and any related add-ons stay up to date and that regular backups are taken. Not updating website software can leave websites vulnerable so we always recommend ongoing support on a monthly basis. Our support package also includes website monitoring for downtime and errors so they can be rectified quickly.
